Immediately after learning of the tragic deaths of sophomore student/athletes Kristy Klaus and Kayden Davis on Friday, April 8th, Lucerne Valley Middle High School and school district administrators put a plan into action to help students deal with the loss.

Lucerne Valley Middle High School history teacher Louis Madrid and bilingual instructional aide Karla Palacios were named Employees of the Month at last Thursday’s Lucerne Valley USD Board of Trustees meeting.

After weeks of fashioning simple pieces of wood into small but fast-moving vehicles, Lucerne Valley Virtual Academy elementary-aged students finally got to see their colorful creations in action at the Pinewood Derby on Wednesday, March 23rd.
