Lucerne Valley USD Air Quality Plan

Attached is the LVUSD Air Quality Plan. Our Air Quality Plan will be implemented to guide us when a fire is nearby. We will be monitoring air through our sensor placed at LVMHS by Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District. Anyone can read current measurements by going to map.purpleair.com. The readings are updated every ten minutes.
Our plan follows guidelines from MDAQMD and public health. In it you can see that when AQI is 0 to 50 it is good for everyone to be outdoors. When it is 51 to 100 "unusually sensitive" people should make outdoor activities less intense, and for everyone else it is a good day to be outdoors.

When we are in 101 to 150 it is ok to be outdoors, but activities should be less intense.

You can see the plan to read all guidelines.

If you click on the dot for Lucerne Valley on the map.purpleair.com website, you can see reading over the last week and months from our sensor at the High School that is monitored by MDAQMD.  This is where we get our readings and what are and will continue to follow.
