The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 477 recently held a school supplies drive to support one of the local school districts in their area. Lucerne Valley Unified School District was chosen to receive the donation.
“Our students will be very appreciative,” said Burt Umstead, Assistant Superintendent of the LVUSD and Principal of Lucerne Valley Elementary School. “We thank the IBEW for their support.”
IBEW 477 President Justin Landford said, “We are happy to be able to support our local schools with the gift of school supplies to Lucerne Valley.”
IBEW Local 477 represents local electrical workers in San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. The IBEW represents 725,000 members in the United States and Canada who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government.
