Sixth grade teacher Jennifer Hankins (certificated) and school security staff member Erica Baxter (classified) were recognized as district Employees of the Month for April during Thursday’s Board of Trustees meeting.
Superintendent Peter Livingston spoke on behalf of the district, and the school board congratulated the employees.

“We are excited to announce Jennifer Hankins as our Employee of the Month for April,” Mr. Livingston said, sharing the words of Jennifer’s administration team who nominated her for the award. “Her dedication and hard work have made a positive impact on our school community. Mrs. Hankins has gone above and beyond in supporting independent study for the entire school, helping to keep everything in order for our upcoming audit, ensuring that everything is in compliance and ready to go.
“In addition, Mrs. Hankins is our 6th grade level lead who works closely with two relatively new teachers and builds strong collaboration with the whole sixth grade team. She also sets a good example for her fellow teachers by holding her students to the highest standards in her classroom. She consistently pushes students to strive for their best while providing the support they need to reach their full potential. Mrs. Hankins also took the lead in organizing our electives and managing the sign-up process for the entire school, making sure that every student has the opportunity to explore their interests and talents.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Mrs. Hankins as part of our team. Her passion for education, attention to detail, and leadership make her a true asset to our school. Congratulations Jennifer!”

Erica consistently goes above and beyond to build meaningful relationships with students and staff. Whether offering a helping hand or simply sharing a friendly smile, she makes our campus feel safer and more welcoming every day. She is a great role model for our students and is truly an asset to our team, and we’re grateful for the dedication and care she brings to the job.”
