SB County: Enrollment Now Open for State Preschool Programs

Enrollment Now Open for State Preschool Programs

SAN BERNARDINO — The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) is currently enrolling students for the 2022-23 academic school year for its 37 state-funded preschool programs.

California State preschool programs operated by SBCSS currently have openings at all 37 school sites. These sites span across 15 school districts throughout the county.

SBCSS provides quality three-hour early education classes offered on weekdays with both morning and afternoon sessions.

These preschool programs provide students with 180 days of services to ensure children receive early and specialized support to prepare them to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

SBCSS operated preschool programs include enhanced curriculum with Footsteps2Brilliance and Clever Kids University to provide opportunities for students to engage in literacy activities.

In addition to including nutritious meals and snack options for students during their classes, SBCSS encourages the importance of eating healthy and staying active through the Healthy SBCSS Nutrition program.

Students who turn four years old on or before Dec. 1 and children who will be three years old on or before Dec. 1 qualify to enroll in the program. Transitional Kindergarten (TK)-age children with a fifth birthday between Sep. 2 and Feb. 2 are also eligible to enroll.
