Student Educational Services Coordinator Vici Miller and Lucerne Valley Middle High School student records and attendance clerk Kimberlee Anderson have been named Employees of the Month. Vici and Kim were presented their awards Tuesday, November 9th by Superintendent Peter Livingston during the monthly meeting of district’s Board of Trustees.
Vici, who was recognized by Lucerne Valley Elementary School as the certificated employee of the month, takes on many roles in the district, Mr. Livingston said.
“She is a kind and compassionate staff member driven by a strong faith. Vici is very passionate about what she does and especially her work with our students requiring additional services. She works extremely hard for ALL Lucerne Valley students and their families. She works each day tirelessly, arriving early in the morning and leaving later in the day. Vici is always looking to help everyone she comes across and provide resources for families in need. Despite her busy schedule, she always finds time to listen to others and help the teachers who want additional resources or advice. She is well-liked in the Lucerne Valley community and has impacted so many lives throughout her career. She truly has a heart of gold .although purple would be the preferred color.”

Kim Anderson, the district’s Classified Employee of the Month, is described as “dependability in a human form,” according to her nominator. “She has an ability to problem solve and offer solutions ensuring Lucerne Valley Middle High continues running smoothly.”
“Her support for students and families is endless, as she calls families every day and reminds them of the importance of coming to school,” Mr. Livingston said. “In these conversations she takes time to listen to the concerns of parents and students, hearing their why and working on developing solutions to their attendance issues. All of these things that she does, she does with compassion and the needs of the students at the forefront.”
Kim also works with Adult Education, where through her heart, guidance and the superb Adult Education team, adults are able to enroll and complete courses necessary to obtain their high school diploma.
“Kim Anderson is a constant,” her nominator said. “She is dependable and she is an employee that we don t have to worry about. Give her a task, it will get done.”
