San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Ted Alejandre thanked school staff, administrators and parents throughout the county for their dedication during the challenges presented by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic in a four-and-a-half minute video posted last week on YouTube.
“As we all have seen, social distancing has rapidly accelerated change in many industries and in public education,” Alejandre said. “The move to distance learning has been rapid and transformative.”
Furthermore, Alejandre said, “I want to commend the great efforts around the county by educators, administrators and parents as we navigate the shifting landscape of our education system. It’s truly inspiring to see the dedication and collaboration occurring across districts as learning outcomes and essential needs are being met daily with the support and care our students deserve.”
The county superintendent of schools also shared resources for distance learning and making the best of the remaining school year during the county school closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The video was included in Alejandre’s most recent digital newsletter.
