At Ride In The Rocks, participants can run, walk, or take their bikes out onto Lucerne Valley’s hilly terrain. There are four total tracks ranging from 5 miles for a Family activity, up to a bike-only challenge course at 40 miles long. The challenge tracks rise from the valley floor start line by the High School up into the San Bernardino Mountain foothills (approx. 1,000 ft. in elevation) to test your endurance.
A commemorative T-Shirt from the event is available to pre-registered riders (limited quantity, first come, first served). Lunch is included in the registration fee for all participants. Event volunteers will staff checkpoints with water, First Aid stations, and snacks for riders. Sag Trucks will also patrol the courses to assist with mechanical issues and First Aid/fatigue support.
This year, Ride In The Rocks will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at the LVMS/HS Student Parking Lot on Ladera Road. Sign in and start times are TBA.
Ride In The Rocks is an annual fundraiser for LVUSD Schools held by the Mitsubishi Cement Corporation Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization. Participant fees as well as donations and sponsorships go to the MCCEF Fund. The Foundation awards annual High School senior scholarships for students headed to college, as well as mini-grants that are awarded for Teacher initiatives during the 2016-2017 school year.
